    FAQ

Q: What charger should I use for LiFePO4 battery?

    A:

For a complete charge of a 24V LiFePO4 battery, a charger with a voltage ranging from 28.4V to 29.2V is necessary. If using a lead-acid battery charger, it can still charge the battery, but it won't reach full 100% capacity.

    Q: Can I charge a LiFePO4 battery with a trickle charger?

    A:

Trickle charging is not acceptable for lithium batteries. Charging a LiFePO4 battery with a trickle charger not designed for this type of battery could lead to overcharging or damage due to the different charging requirements of lithium batteries compared to traditional lead-acid batteries.

    Q: Can I charge LiFePO4 to 100%?

    A:

Yes, you can. But charging a battery to less than 100% and avoiding complete discharge always increases cell longevity. Similarly, maintaining operation within the 20%-80% state of charge (SoC) range will prolong the life of lithium batteries. In the case of LiTime deep cycle lithium batteries, they can withstand over 4000 deep cycles at 100% Depth of Discharge (DoD), over 6000 cycles at 80% DoD, and more than 15,000 cycles at 60% DoD.

Q: Is it OK to leave a lithium-ion battery on the charger overnight?

    A:

Leaving a lithium-ion battery on the charger overnight can be generally safe if you are using a charger like LiTime lithium battery chargers which is designed to stop charging once the battery reaches full capacity. Most modern lithium-ion chargers are designed with this feature to prevent overcharging.

    Amazed by this battery

First time out with my 100ah 24 volt LiTime battery running a Minn Kota 80 lb thrust trolling motor. Fished 4 1/2 days on a lake. Battery was over 80%. My agm batteries would have needed charging. Amazing difference. Time will tell on how long they will last. Solid battery!!!!

Upgrade from 12 VDC to 24 vDC

Purchased Litime 24v 230 AH battery with Litime 24v 20 amp charger. The charger works great doesn’t get hot but takes a while to charge up so I order another Litime 24v 20 amp charger as the battery information suggests a 40 amp 24 volt charger. I am going to order another 24 volt 230 AH Litime battery for better autonomy as the solar panels are generating less as the days are getting shorter. Very good products for the money.
