    More Crap Components from LiTime

    Ridiculous "manual" written in non-English does not prepare you for the adventure you're about to embark on.
    Low solar input capacity means you'll have to wire parallel, SORRY!
    Does it charge from the alternator? We may never know, because tech support tells me all the error lights are normal, and I should just disconnect the unit when there's an error light. Begs the question: what the hell is the error light for?
    Does not play well with the Li-Time 3000V inverter/chharger. As with the other items I bought, attempts at gaining clarification/explanations were met with some weird Chinese English technobabble bullshit.

    12V 40A DC to DC Battery Charger with MPPT

    Charger was installed in a RAM 3500 pickup with two parallel connected LI 12V 100AH Batteries using #8 gage wire, providing power to a 12V refridgerator. It operated well for the first few weeks. Then it failed to charge the batteries. When it is turned on, it charges for a few seconds, then the 60A circuit breaker on the input connected to the vehicle battery trips. Wendy at LI Time was very helpful with providing possible solutions to investigate. Turns out, the 60A circuit breaker I mounted in the engine compartment was tripping at 45A. It may have been damaged by the heat in the engine compartment. I installed a new 60A breaker inside the vehicle. Charger has been operating well.
