The speed of a 36V golf cart can vary depending on factors such as the make and model, as well as any modifications made to the cart. Generally, a stock 36V golf cart can reach speeds of around 12 to 15 miles per hour.
The amperage draw of a 36V golf cart varies based on factors such as terrain, weight load, and the condition of the batteries and motor. On average, it can range from 20-30 amps.
Lithium batteries can deliver more power to your golf cart than traditional lead-acid batteries. This means you can tackle hills and inclines with ease, and your golf cart will have a higher top speed.

2. Solar Panels
The battery can be fully charged in one day (with effective sunshine 4.5 hrs/day) by 700W solar panels. It may take more than one day to fully charge the battery by ≥700W solar panels since the duration and intensity of light would be a great factor for their charging efficiency.
3. Generator/Alternator
If the alternator or generator supports DC output, a DC-to-DC charger is needed to connect the battery to the generator; if your alternator or generator supports AC output, please add a suitable battery charger to connect the battery and the generator according to our recommendations. The Recommended Charging Voltage: 42.6V ~ 43.8V.
The Recommended Charging Current: ① 12A (0.2C): the battery will be fully charged in around 5 hrs to 100% capacity; ② 30A (0.5C): the battery will be fully charged in around 2 hrs to around 97% capacity.
I have a 1969 Taylor Dunn Cart. I went from 6 6 volt batteries down to 1 Li Time Battery. The weight difference was incredible. One 6v Battery weighed 63 lbs. this battery 38 lbs! The range is another great thing. I get roughly 15 miles of use if not more. Best deal for me was the price. I got the battery on special. Now I have the 38.4 V LiTime Battery and the LiTime Charger for the price of 6 medium grade 6v battery’s. The charger now fits in my battery tray and takes a few hours to charge up. One very happy customer!
Golf cart, works perfect. Adding solar charging. 300 pounds lighter. 38.4 60 ah Li time. Li Time needs a waterproof charger for this battery.
I switched from a traditional 36 v to this lithium battery and I’m glad I did! I was tired of having a dead battery so soon. This one will last for years to come!! The speed of delivery was amazing!! It stated would take 5/6 days and literally; to my surprise, was at my house a couple of days later; installed and ready to go! I installed in my EZ Go golf cart. Super easy to install; worth the investment!
After watching tons of YouTube videos on LiFeP04 batteries, I decided to Try one of highly reviewed Li-Time 36v golf cart battery. The Price was the same as 6 new Trojan T105. You do need to buy a new Lithium charger for a $120. This Li battery is 6 times lighter and there is no maintenance. The distance at full charge was slightly more than the lead acid probably because the weight of the lead acid batteries. Customer service is very responsive to email questions. Overall, I highly recommend switching over to LiFeP04 batteries from Li-Time. Also, you will need a DC converter to run your lights or any accessories!
