    A:

    Yes. LiFePO4 is an inherently safe chemistry and the most stable lithium-type battery on the market. LiTime lithium cells are UL certified for the highest safety and sustainability standards. All LiTime LiFePO4 batteries come with an internal Battery Management System which protects against under-voltage during discharge, over-voltage during charge, over-current during discharge, over-temperature during charge and discharge, and short-circuit protection – protects battery cells from damage. Additionally, LiTime LiFePO4 Lithium batteries have been tested to be free from the risk of fire, and electric shock in harsh environments.

    Q: Can I use LiTime LiFePO4 Lithium batteries as starting batteries?

    A:

    No. LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries are not intended to be used as starting batteries but energy storage, please do not use them to start any devices.  If you need the marine starting battery, visit LiTime 12V 20Ah Marine Cranking or 12V 140Ah Dual Purpose battery to choose.

    Q: Can I charge LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries with solar panels?

    A:

    Yes, you can charge LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries with solar panels. Here are 3 reliable ways to charge

    1. Using Solar Panels

    The LiTime 24V 100Ah battery can be fully charged by in one day (with effective sunshine 4.5hrs/day) by 800W solar panels. It may take more than one day to fully charge the battery by ≥800W solar panels since the duration and intensity of light would be a great factor for their charging efficiency.

    2. Generator/Alternator

    If the alternator or generator supports DC output, a DC-to-DC charger is needed to connect the battery to the generator; if your alternator or generator supports AC output, please add a suitable battery charger to connect the battery and the generator according to our recommendations.

    The Recommended Charging Voltage: 28.4V - 29.2V. The Recommended Charging Current: ① 20A (0.2C): the battery will be fully charged in around 5 hrs to 100% capacity; ② 50A (0.5C): the battery will be fully charged in around 2 hrs to around 97% capacity.

    3. LiFePO4 Smart Chargers

    To charge 24V battery, it is recommended to use 29.2V battery charger.

    Q: Can I charge LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries in cold weather (under freezing temperatures)?

    A:

    LiFePO4 batteries can safely charge between 0℃ to 50℃ / 32℉ to 122℉. LiTime cold weather batteries include the low-temperature charging protection which will automatically cut the battery charging off when the cell temperature is lower than 32℉, thus preventing the battery cells from damage when charging under the freezing point.

    It's recommended to charge the battery indoor when it's cold day.

    Q: How do I store LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries?

    A:

    It is recommended to store LiTime LiFePO4 batteries at 50% state of charge (SOC). If the batteries are stored for long periods, cycle the batteries at least every 3 months. Recommended storage environment: 10℃~35℃ (50℉~95℉), 45%RH~75%RH

    Great Customer Service

    I bought a pair of these 24V 100ah to go with a pair of Ampere Time Batteries I bought a year ago. Was interested if they were as good as the Ampere Time batteries. I received the batteries in 3 days and undamaged.

    I had a problem with one of the batteries charging correctly, so emailed Li Time Customer Service, and the next day received an email back from Elaine. After a couple of days of emails trying to figure out the problem Elaine said it looked like the battery would have to be shipped back. Elaine then offered to refund or replace. I choose to replace. They set me a packing label for FedEx, and I shipped the battery back. Once they received the battery they set me a new one. In all, it took between 2 and 3 weeks from the time I got the first battery till the time I received it's replacement.

    My Off Grid Shop is up and running with plenty of power to spare. Thank you Elaine for all of your help. I will be adding a video of the Li Time Review soon.

    This battery was well priced, arrived in a timely manner, it connected to the LiTime 3000 watt 24 VDC charger/inverter easily and so far seems to be functioning well. It seems well built and I have no complaints so far. Thanks LiTime

    Refrigerator vs. Li Time batteries

    I use 2 Li Time 12 volt, 200 amp/hr batteries in parallel to run my full size refrigerator. They are recharged by 2-260 watt solar panels. I also have 2 - 24 volt, 100 amp/hr Li Time batteries that I use to recharge my electric mower, leaf blower, chainsaw & 2 bicycles.

    So far I'm just running a refrigerator to test the system. Two 25 volt 100AH batteries. They will run the frig all night and still have 26.4 volts in the morning. By 10am they are back to 27 volts
