LiTime LiFePO4 lithium battery can be used for 4000-15000 life cycles. Depending on usage Itan be used 10 years or more. Lead acid and AGM get roughly 300-500 life cycles before their capacity is reduced substantially. Therefore, even though there is more upfront cost with a LiTime LiFePO4 Battery, the upgraded saves you big over time.
It's more about what your priorities are. LiTime LiFePO4 lithium battery has about twice the capacity as lead acid and AGM batteries. So, if your goal is to get more usable battery time (Amps) then you should upgrade to a battery with the same Amps (or more). I.e. if you replace a 100amp battery with a LiTime 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 Lithium Battery, you will get about double the usable amps, with about half the weight. If your goal is to have a smaller battery, much less weight, or less expensive. Then you can replace the 100amp battery with a LiTime 12V 50AH LiFePO4 Lithium Battery. You will get about the same usable amps (time), it would cost less, and it's about 1/6 the weight. Refer to the spec sheet for dimensions or email us with further questions or custom needs.
Yes. LiFePO4 is an inherently safe chemistry and the most stable lithium-type battery on the market. LiTime lithium cells are UL certified for the highest safety and sustainability standards. All LiTime LiFePO4 batteries come with an internal Battery Management System which protects against under-voltage during discharge, over-voltage during charge, over-current during discharge, over-temperature during charge and discharge, and short-circuit protection – protects battery cells from damage. Additionally, LiTime LiFePO4 Lithium batteries have been tested to be free from the risk of fire, and electric shock in harsh environments.
No. LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries are not intended to be used as starting batteries but energy storage, please do not use them to start any devices.
Yes, you can charge LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries with solar panels. You should size your charge controller based on the voltage and current output of your solar array setup. That will ensure that your charge controller can process and regulate the power coming from your solar panels. Take a 24V MAX. 22 amps output solar system as example. You would need a solar charge controller that can handle 24 volts and 27.5 amps (125% of your max current output).
LiFePO4 batteries can safely charge between 0℃ to 50℃ / 32℉ to 122℉. LiTime cold weather batteries include the low-temperature charging protection which will automatically cut the battery charging off when the cell temperature is lower than 32℉, thus preventing the battery cells from damage when charging under the freezing point.
It is recommended to store LiTime LiFePO4 batteries at 50% state of charge (SOC). If the batteries are stored for long periods, cycle the batteries at least every 3 months. Recommended storage environment: 10℃~35℃ (50℉~95℉), 45%RH~75%RH
We use 12 Ah 12 V batteries to power "countdown time displays" for rally racing cars at the start line of each stage (time trial section). The displays use bright LEDs so the competitors can watch their start time approach, even in daylight.
We have been using AGM batteries for years, but decided to try the LiFePO4 Lithium battery. We were happy with how much lighter it was, and its full charge voltage of 13.45 V made the LEDs brighter than we had ever seen before.
We then tested the battery and discovered it performed perfectly for 14 hours of steady use!
Attached is the graph showing the difference between the new LiTime battery and two of our newest AGM batteries. As you can see, even after 14 hours, it produced more than a FULLY CHARGED AGM battery!
We're ordering more to replace our current batteries - these are great!
Love the LiTime products, will buy more from Litime.
Highly recommend thier Products !!!
Been adding more Litime to the boat. Started with 12v TM batteries. Have yet to run out of power. Added the 12v 12ah for mega live. Give 10-12 hrs of run time without charging for bass tournament fishing. Can’t complain at the weight of a water bottle.
