Q:What type of battery do I need for my golf cart?
Most electric golf carts run on deep-cycle 36-volt or 48-volt battery systems. Typically, they come from the factory with lead-acid batteries in 6V, 8V, or 12V configurations, wired in series to create a 36V or 48V system. For longer run time, lower maintenance, and extended lifespan, we recommend upgrading to lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries. LiTime offers 36V and 48V lithium golf cart batteries for optimal performance.
Q:What should I do when I receive the battery?
When you receive your battery, please note that it may have a low State of Charge (SOC) due to transportation and storage. For optimal performance, we recommend charging the battery immediately to avoid over-discharge.
For Bluetooth batteries, they may arrive in an off state with a virtual voltage of 3V-5V at the terminals. This is normal and can be resolved by using an AC-DC lithium battery charger or MPPT solar charge controller to charge for 3-10 seconds, which will activate the battery for normal use.
If you plan to store the battery for an extended period without use, charge it to a SOC of 30% to 50% and perform maintenance every three months. This will help preserve its functionality and performance over time.
Q:What voltage battery does my golf cart require?
To find your golf cart's voltage, check your owner’s manual, search for the technical specifications online, or locate the technical/serial number sticker on your vehicle, which usually lists the voltage. Most golf carts are either 36V or 48V.
If you're unable to find the voltage using these methods, you can open the battery compartment and calculate it yourself. Each battery should have its voltage labeled. Multiply the voltage of a single battery by the number of batteries in the bank to determine the system voltage. For example, eight 6V batteries would give you a 48V system.

Q:How to charge the LiFePO4 lithium golf cart batteries?
Due to the different charging requirements compared to lead-acid batteries, we recommend using a LiFePO4 lithium battery charger for charging.
Here are the charging options for LiTime lithium golf cart batteries:
1)AC-DC lithium battery charger: Choose a charger with the correct charging voltage to safely charge the battery.
2) Solar panels: When using solar panels, ensure you connect a solar charge controllerfor safe charging.
3) Alternator/Generator:
a. If your alternator or generator supports DC output, a DC-to-DC charger is needed to connect the battery.
b. If your alternator or generator supports AC output, use a compatible battery charger as recommended in the product manual to safely connect the battery and generator.

Q:Is it OK to charge LiFePO4 Lithium batteries to 100%?
Yes, LiTime LiFePO4 batteries can be charged to 100%. Unlike some other lithium battery chemistries, LiFePO4 batteries are designed to handle full charges without significant risk of damage.
However, for optimal longevity, it’s often recommended to keep the battery's SOC between 20% and 80% for regular use.
Q:Is it bad to completely drain a LiFePO4 battery?
It is not recommended to fully discharge LiFePO4 batteries. Although these batteries can handle deep discharges better than lead-acid batteries, frequently discharging them to 0% can reduce their lifespan and performance.
It's best to recharge the battery before it drops below a very low level, ideally at 20% or higher.
Q:Is it OK to leave a LiFePO4 golf cart battery on the charger?
Although it is generally safe to leave a LiFePO4 battery on the charger, as both the charger and the battery itself have a BMS to prevent overcharging, it’s still best to monitor the charging process.
Once the battery is fully charged, disconnecting it promptly is recommended to avoid unnecessary damage.
For convenience, LiTime offers chargers with Anderson connectors, allowing you to stop charging simply by unplugging the Anderson connector without needing to separate the battery terminals from the screws after charging.
However, for optimal safety, it’s advised to first unplug the AC plug before disconnecting the Anderson connector.
I have a stock EZGO TXT. Stock motor, stock controller. Bought this battery against many naysayers advice due to the sale price at the time. It was cheaper to buy than replacing the old lead acid batteries with new lead acid batteries, so I figured why not. It's been 3 weeks since I installed the battery and have had zero issues. I live in a very hilly area. I was told by many people that the BMS would cut off on the hills, etc, but I have not had one issue. I can hold 18-19 MPH uphill with 4 people in the cart.
Installation was easy. The only issue with my cart is the old charger port has a sensor you must reroute to the batter in order for the solenoid to allow the controller to power up. Otherwise, it was very straight forward and easy. You will need a 12v power converter if you have lights, speakers, etc. If you are slightly mechanically inclined, you shouldn't have any issues. I'll have to fabricate a bracket to hold it but it's secure for now.
Not sure on range yet. The regular meters don't work. Will have to buy one with a shunt but so far, I have driven about 10 miles with no issues. I think on the stock cart, I might get closer to 20 miles but not willing to push it until I get a proper battery meter.

I have a 2001 club car with a alltrax controller and a H&H motor....
I had 6- 8v lead acid batteries that I replaced with this 48v 60 ah lithium..
I lost 356 pounds of weight... The cart runs great with no hiccups.. I installed a shunt before I bought this lithium battery.. Most of the time I never went over 100 amp draw with most of the time 30 to 50 amp draw..after installing the lithium I ran it full throttle to about 180 to over 200 amp draw for briefly and this battery handled it with no problems !
I would 100 percent recommend this battery for the typical golf cart like mine !

This is a ezgo txt 48 volt with a LiTime 48 volt battery in it. What a great battery for the price and the fitment this is how I put it in the cart I hope it will help someone with a ezgo get it in there cart. The performance of this battery is great you will not be unsatisfied with this battery even if you have mods this battery will take it. If you are on the fence about purchasing this battery go for it you will not be disappointed. I have 9 carts in my neighborhood running this battery and no problems. This is to help people with installs one is a yamaha drive the cart with two batteries is a rxv the other is a club car onward and the other is a ezgo txt
So far (5 days) no complaints at all, we love it.

This appears to be a winner. We have a 2002 Club car DS and (as we live on an island) this is our daily driver. We typically drive between 25 and 40 miles a day. With this battery we are getting north of 30 miles without recharging during the day, longer if we recharge when not driving (which we always do). It fully recharges overnight. Getting it into the cart was a bit ticklish but not bad with a little creativity (centered between frame rails, long dimension forward and and back, used a vibrating saw to temporarily remove the center part of the plastic body work immediately in front of battery - it fits with about 1/4" to spare, then relocated the run/tow switch - easy stuff). So far (5 days) no complaints at all, we love it. It's really quite impressive. Excellent performance in all conditions, including light-trailer-towing (approx 400 lbs). One little thing (a slight flutter probably caused by the batteries better performance): When we are "torque-neutral" (slight downhill) we get a very slight acceleration/deceleration oscillation. We think this is happening for two reasons: 1) we shed approximately 300 pounds of battery weight. Thus the motor controller gets more acceleration than expected when it adds power. And 2) the new battery has stable voltage between 48 and 52 volts (more stable than the lead acids). We think when the motor controller adds power, it is actually getting just a little more power from the battery than it is expecting. We are guessing the two phenomena leads to this VERY slight (almost unnoticeable) acceleration/deceleration osculation on slight downhills. On any other terrain the carts behavior is 100% well mannered. With such good performance and manners, we had to dig deep to find ANY flaw, so here it is: on the way to the dump we lost our trash bag off the back seat 4 times due to better acceleration. For the first time in the 15 years we have owned this cart we will need to use our bungee cords on trash day. We hope the reader has our sense of humor, this battery/charger combination is truly wonderful. Durability and reliability is our only unknown at this time. We have high hopes.
