    Q: Are LiTime LiFePO4 Lithium batteries safe?

    A: Yes. LiFePO4 is an inherently safe chemistry and the most stable lithium-type battery on the market. LiTime lithium cells are UL certified for the highest safety and sustainability standards. All LiTime LiFePO4 batteries come with an internal Battery Management System which protects against under-voltage during discharge, over-voltage during charge, over-current during discharge, over-temperature during charge and discharge, and short-circuit protection – protects battery cells from damage. Additionally, LiTime LiFePO4 Lithium batteries have been tested to be free from the risk of fire, and electric shock in harsh environments.

    Q: Can I use LiTime LiFePO4 Lithium batteries as starting batteries?

    A:

    No. LiTime LiFePO4 lithium deep cycle batteries are not intended to be used as starting batteries but energy storage, please do not use them to start any devices.

    Q: How to Charge LiFePO4 lithium batttery?

    A:

    1. Using Solar Panels

    The battery can be fully charged in one day (with effective sunshine 4.5 hrs/day) by 800W solar panels. It may take more than one day to fully charge the battery by ≥800W solar panels since the duration and intensity of light would be a great factor for their charging efficiency. Besides solar panels, there are 2 more ways to charge.

    2. Generator/Alternator

    If the alternator or generator supports DC output, a DC-to-DC charger is needed to connect the battery to the generator; if your alternator or generator supports AC output, please add a suitable battery charger to connect the battery and the generator according to our recommendations. The Recommended Charging Voltage: 14.2V - 14.6V. The Recommended Charging Current: ① 40A (0.2C): the battery will be fully charged in around 5 hrs to 100% capacity; ② 100A (0.5C): the battery will be fully charged in around 2 hrs to around 97% capacity.

    3. LiFePO4 Smart Chargers

    To charge 12V battery, it is recommended to use 14.6V battery charger.  The Recommended Charging Voltage: 14.2V - 14.6V.  The Recommended Charging Current: ① 40A (0.2C): the battery will be fully charged in around 5 hrs to 100% capacity; ② 100A (0.5C): the battery will be fully charged in around 2 hrs to around 97% capacity.

    Q: Can I charge LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries in cold weather (under freezing temperatures)?

    A:

    LiFePO4 batteries can safely charge between 32°F to 113°F (0°C to 45°C). LiTime cold weather batteries include the low-temperature charging protection which will automatically cut the battery charging off when the cell temperature is lower than 32℉, thus preventing the battery cells from damage when charging under the freezing point.

    Q: How do I store LiTime LiFePO4 lithium batteries?

    A:

    It is recommended to store LiTime LiFePO4 batteries at 50% state of charge (SOC). If the batteries are stored for long periods, cycle the batteries at least every 6 months. Recommended storage environment: 10℃~35℃ (50℉~95℉), 45%RH~75%RH

    Q: Can I pair a Bluetooth Module for this battery to monitor the battery status on the phone?

    A:

    No. This battery is not compatible with the Bluetooth module. You can use a 500A Battery Monitor With Shunt to keep track of battery status.

    Q: How Long Will a 12V 200Ah Battery Last?

    A:

    Run Time (hours) = Battery Capacity (Ah) / Current (A)

    The higher the discharge rate (amount of current/amps being drawn from the battery), the shorter the duration it will last.

    For example:

    A 200Ah battery discharging at just 10A could theoretically last around 20 hours. Discharging at 50A would last only around 4 hours.

    LiTime 12V 200Ah Plus LiFePO4 Lithium Battery review

    This review is for the LiTime 12V 200Ah Plus LiFePO4 Lithium Battery - 200A BMS installed in a 25' travel trailer with 2 solar panels (total 260 watts) and a 20 amp DC to DC unit to run the refrigerator from an inverter while driving. Also purchased were a 30 amp MPPT LiTime Solar Controller, and a 40 amp LiTime charger. Everything works great together. The battery provides enough current that the inverter no longer sqeals when running the microwave or hair dryer. The 40 amp charger charges much quicker than the old converter.

    The only concern is my older Xantrex Link 10 battery monitor does not reset to 100 % when the battery is fully charged as the charger stays at high current with very little taper until it shuts down. So it must occasionally be manually reset to 100 %. The figures I'm using are: Battery Capacity - 200. CEF (Charge Efficiency Factor) - 99%. Peukert Exponent - 1.02. Charged Voltage - 14.2v. Charged Current - 4%.

    Do your homework before purchasing and you will not be disappointed.

    I had to learn how to balance my 3 LiTime 200Ah Plus batteries by cycling hem, (thank you LiTime support staff). Once I balanced my group of LiTime 200Ah Plus batteries - they are now solid as a rock. Yes I am NOW buying my 4th battery for 48 volts system..
