Yes, you can charge LiTime 230Ah lithium batteries with solar panels. Here are 3 ways to charge the battery.
1. Using Solar Panels
The LiTime 12V 230Ah battery can be fully charged by in one day (with effective sunshine 4.5hrs/day) by 800W solar panels. It may take more than one day to fully charge the battery by ≥800W solar panels since the duration and intensity of light would be a great factor for their charging efficiency.
2. Generator/Alternator
If the alternator or generator supports DC output, a DC-to-DC charger is needed to connect the battery to the generator; if your alternator or generator supports AC output, please add a suitable battery charger to connect the battery and the generator according to our recommendations.
The Recommended Charging Voltage: 14.2V - 14.6V.
The Recommended Charging Current: ① 46A (0.2C): the battery will be fully charged in around 5 hrs to 100% capacity; ② 115A (0.5C): the battery will be fully charged in around 2 hrs to around 97% capacity.
3. LiFePO4 Smart Chargers

LiFePO4 batteries can safely charge between 0℃ to 50℃ / 32℉ to 122℉. This is a revision of an earlier one star review…………After an extended shipping period, the battery finally arrived. It appears in excellent condition and very much met my expectations for overall quality. My installation of solar on my RV, with this battery, is complete, and I’m extremely satisfied. What is best however, was the LiTime follow-up with checking on my order. Mavis was an excellent communicator and followed my order to maintain my satisfaction as a continuing customer. Kudos to Customer Service!!! I would definitely purchase again!!!
I have only had my new 230 amp litime batteries 2 weeks but so far they have performed great. three weeks to our first real test.
We've got a 32 foot motorhome with a wheelchair lift and door. The lead/acid batteries didn't allow us to venture far from an RV park or a power plug with the setup we had partially because of the power hungry wheelchair lift.
We have a big trip planned and wanted to upgrade our house batteries from two 100Ah batteries to as much lithium based energy as possible. These 230Ah batteries fit perfectly under the stairs in the RV with some minor modifications.
We now have nearly 460Ah of usable energy instead of 50Ah.
Because of that, the old Norcold refrigerator is now replaced with a new Samsung inverter compressor "garage ready" fridge that will easily run on the LiTime batteries as will the TV and the lights.
We haven't taken a test trip yet, but the RV has been in the back yard running flawlessly on and off the batteries in 100+ degree heat.
The pictures show how well everything fits in a very tight space and the weight of all that additional energy is almost exactly the same as ELEVEN percent of lead/acid chemistry batteries.
(I'm not a fan of the recessed terminals and a Bluetooth BMS would be nice, but it's not worth taking off a "star", these batteries are great)
