What charger should I use for LiFePO4 battery?

For a complete charge of a 12V LiFePO4 battery, a charger with a voltage ranging from 14V to 14.6V is necessary. If a charger with a lower voltage is used, it can still charge the battery, but it won't reach full 100% capacity.

Does this charger stop charging automatically?

Yes, it has an automatic shutoff feature. Once the battery reaches full capacity, the charger stops charging and switches to maintenance mode to prevent overcharging

Can I charge a LiFePO4 battery with a trickle charger?

Trickle charging is not acceptable for lithium batteries. Charging a LiFePO4 battery with a trickle charger not designed for this type of battery could lead to overcharging or damage due to the different charging requirements of lithium batteries compared to traditional lead-acid batteries.

Can I charge LiFePO4 to 100%?

Yes, you can. But charging a battery to less than 100% and avoiding complete discharge always increases cell longevity. Similarly, maintaining operation within the 20%-80% state of charge (SoC) range will prolong the life of lithium batteries. In the case of LiTime deep cycle lithium batteries, they can withstand over 4000 deep cycles at 100% Depth of Discharge (DoD), over 6000 cycles at 80% DoD, and more than 15,000 cycles at 60% DoD.

Is it OK to leave a lithium-ion battery on the charger overnight?

Leaving a lithium-ion battery on the charger overnight can be generally safe if you are using a charger like LiTime lithium battery chargers which is designed to stop charging once the battery reaches full capacity. Most modern lithium-ion chargers are designed with this feature to prevent overcharging.

How do I know if my battery is charging correctly?

The charger includes LED indicators to show the charging status, which lets you monitor progress and know when the battery is fully charged.

Excellent charger

I use this to charge two 200ah batteries, recommend 80 amp charging. I use this 40 amp charger and 40 amps of solar together if the batteries need to be quickly charged up to 14.4 volts, otherwise when used lightly I let solar 40 amp controller charge the batteries.

LiTime 12V (14.6V) 40A Mountable Lithium ion Battery Charger review

When replacing the 6v golf cart lead acid batteries with a LiTime lithium 200 amp battery, I knew the old converter on the travel trailer would need to be replaced. I decided to use the 40A Mountable Charger instead of a new converter and have been very happy with the decision. This charger charges at close to 40 amps until the battery is charged, then shuts off. This is a much higher current than the previous batteries could withstand, and makes for a faster charge. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Smaller Lithium Charger.

I bought this charger for my motorhome. I have installed 4 Li Time 100 Amp Hour batteries. I have a 100amp charger already in the rig. I have a smaller 2500 generator (quiet) that could not handle high amperage. This is why I installed this charger. I liked it because it is a Lithium charger. According to my motorhome metering it charged at 30 amps with a 5amp A/C draw. I like that there is an on/off switch. Both chargers worked together fine.
