The like-new DC to DC chargers were purchased by customers who mistakenly or incompatible bought for their applications. We assure you that they are thoroughly checked and tested before delivery. Our like-new chargers come with the same 2-year warranty as our new one.
COMPATIBILITY Knob operation makes it convenient to quickly select the type of battery that needs to be charged. The output current of the charger is 40A, with high efficiency and adaptability to larger capacity battery packs; There is a low current port that can limit the output current to 20A. There are two charging and discharging current options, 20A and 40A, which are convenient for use in multiple scenarios.
SMART MULTI-STAGE CHARGING The 12V 40A DC to DC smart charger changes different charge modes to match your battery type. For LiFePO4 Battery it will charge in 2-step mode (CC, CV), for Lead Acid Battery it will charge by 3-stage charging (Bulk, Absorption, and Float). It can optimize the charging efficiency of different types of batteries and extend their service life. It also can wake up your lithium battery after BMS protection.
VARIOUS PROTECTION SAFETY This LiTime battery charger with high-quality offers over-voltage protection, low-voltage protection, over-temperature protection, short circuit protection, and output reverse polarity protection to ensure operation safety. It also isolates the input and output to prevent voltage transfer errors and interference with home battery charging.
WIDELY USED The compact and robust design of LiTime 12V 40A DC to DC charger makes it suitable for RVs, commercial vehicles, and many more applications. The output end can not only be connected to a service battery but also be directly used with a DC load.
Note: Use the included screws (Φ5/32'' [4mm], 5/8'' [16mm]) for secure mounting to prevent installation failure or product damage.

This battery charger is designed to work with both conventional and smart alternators. However, because conventional alternators maintain a consistent voltage during charging, while smart alternators adjust their charging output based on operating conditions, it is necessary to connect the charger to the smart alternator using the Signal cable provided with the package through the Vehicle Ignition Port.
It's suitable for 12V Lithium, Gel, AGM, and Calcium batteries. This charger enables the batteries to reach a full 100% charge. Additionally, it has the capability to jump start lithium batteries that have become discharged to a low voltage.
The charger includes LED indicators to show the charging status, including when the battery is charging, fully charged, or in maintenance mode.
This charger has a durable, rugged design suitable for moderate outdoor environments. However, avoid exposure to extreme weather conditions like heavy rain or snow, as it is not fully waterproof.
The charger includes overcharge protection, reverse polarity protection, overcurrent protection, and thermal protection to ensure safe and reliable charging.
A DC-DC charger converts DC voltage from one battery bank to another. It’s ideal for charging a 12V battery from a vehicle’s electrical system, whereas an AC charger requires an external AC power source (like a wall outlet).
The house batteries were well past their lifespan, so after looking into replacing with flooded or AGM, I decided to go the lithium route. One of my major concerns was since lithiums can take significant charging currents it could possibly overheat and damage the engine alternator. There are basically two schools of thought on how to prevent this. First is using a Smart Battery Isolation Device, which is essentially a duty cycle timer which only allows the alternator to charge the lithium for a set time period then isolates allowing the alternator to cooldown and repeat the cycle. This method also allows the house side to charge the starting battery when on the generator or shore power. My concern with this method is if contacts stick the alternator can be damaged. The other method is to use a DC-DC Charger to charge the lithium house bank whenever the engine is running which in my case will limit the charge current to 40 amps on the output, approximately 45-50 amps on the input side. Since my alternator has a 180 amp output, I was more comfortable using the DC-DC charger to protect the alternator. Additionally my coach has a solar panel trickle charger for the starting battery, and I was also able to retain the battery boost function to supply cranking power from the coach batteries plus since it’s a gas coach I can jump from my toad if the need arises.
Previous flooded battery capacity was 4x75 =300 Ah, using 50% depth of discharge useable capacity was 150 Ah, now I have 4x100=400 Ah, using 80% discharge for Lithium useable capacity is 320 Ah, averaging 4 Ah for refrigeration alone my off the grid time goes from 37 hours to 80 hours. All in cost for this was approximately $1200.
My previous education & background was in automotive mechanics, plus also in nuclear power in both US Navy submarines & civilian power plants. Plus I had an additional ace in the hole, my son was Advanced Electronics in the Coast Guard, then an Electrician at a Nuclear Power Plant. Along with the technical support provided by LiTime the changeover was easily accomplished.
